LAG FFS ‘05
So, what you up to this weekend? Nothing to do for the 5th, 6th and 7th of August? How a weekend NOT sitting in front of a screen, but mucking around in a filed with a bunch of like minded computer bods?
That’s exactly what LAG FFS ’05 is all about. Previously, the event was open only to MMORPG players, but this year the event has been expanded to cover just about anyone who even owns a PC and plays the odd game on it. LAG FFS is an outdoor music festival which has been held in the UK for online gamers to meet up and have fun together.
All you need to do is get yourself to Leicestershire this weekend, own a tent and be able to put it up, so all those hours spent levelling up your camping skills in Ultima, or just camping on CS, can now be put to good use. LAG FFS '05 (Leisure And Gaming Festival For Summer 2005) is open for all players alike from around the world to meet gaming friends face to face and make new friendships away from the computer. A fun packed weekend with various events happening throughout the weekend.
Time for a quick word from the organizers:
”The past people who attended have made comparisons to a small version of Glastonbury minus the mud, but everyone being friendly. For those not willing to be friendly, the security, who are a bunch of Isle of Man bikers, are very willing to convince all that they should be. And it works too (just don't steal their Guinness!).
So before you all think this is purely a big pi$$ up then think again. There are various bouncy things, ranging from rodeo bulls to probably the best place to rematch out of a shoot 'em-up and that's the gladiator joust!”
Sounds good, eh? To make sure things stay interesting there’ll be competitions, Karaoke, Live bands throughout the evening, Dr Blaze (DJ entertainment),Bouncy Castles, Bungee Runs and various prizes to be won.

People are welcome anytime after 9 AM Fri 5th, and will need to leave the campsite by 8 PM Sunday 7th (or pay extra).
