HEXUS and ATI Present – Assembly 05, Jussi Laakkonen interview
Even with 3,000 gamers on the LAN, another 1,500 on the WIFI and another 500 people just having a mooch around, Jussi Laakkonen, Event Director of Assembly 05 found the time to sit down and have a chat with HEXUS about the event and games in general. ATI were there to capture the interview on tape for us, which you can grab as an 11Mb download.

And Jussi is well placed to talk about handheld gaming too, as when he’s not working with Assembly he’s actually the Business Development Director for Bugbear Entertainment.
Hmmm, that’s a tricky one…If you’re wondering where you’ve heard that name before, they’re the guys who brought us the immensely enjoyable windscreen smashing racer, FlatOut. Their latest release, Glimmerati, on the Nokia N-Gage, is getting rave reviews, so Jussi certainly knows his stuff when we asked him where he thinks the future of mobile gaming headed. Of course, being Finnish some of the questions didn’t translate well, but it’s a valiant effort showing that just because you’re involved with massive LAN party and successful development team, it doesn’t mean you don’t have a sense of humour.
