But jeez, it's complicated!

An enterprising and, likely, very bored gamer has managed to hook up his WiiMote to control his Xbox 360.

No, don’t ask ‘Why?’, just marvel at this guy’s ingenuity as he goes through one of the most complicated set-ups I’ve ever seen... For those of you that are interested the full details are here but I’ll give you the main gist right now.

What you need is a Bluetooth connection to the WiiMote from a PC with customized WiiMote firmware... this is connected to Microcontroller with specially written PS2 firmware emulating a PS2 joypad. Finally, that’s connected to the Xbox 360 through an XFPS PS2 to Xbox 360 adapter... phew.

Hats off to the guy for getting it to work, as his videos show but holy hell in a hand basket, how hard must that have been???

Makes you wonder why? It can't be fun, must be for 15 minutes of geek fame I guess!

Makes you wonder why?

Simply, because he could.

Excellent idea, be it quite a novel one and it looks to help improve gameplay as well which it's all really about at the end of the day.

Anyway, can't sit here chinwagging - Xbox Live needs abusing
