Electronic Arts announced a collaboration in October 2005 with legendary movie director Steven Spielberg to create three "new original franchise properties" and MSNBC are now reporting that they've seen two of these games in action.

The first game for Wii will be a puzzle game, currently known as PQRS and is said to be similar to block building game Jenga. "It runs on top of a physics program that lets you manipulate blocks with the Wii remote as if it were an extension of your hand, " states MSNBC. Spielberg believes that PQRS will be a game that all the family will be able to enjoy. "It just seemed like a great thing for the entire family to play together over Christmas. Although you don't need the excuse of a holiday to enjoy it," he said.

The second game, for Xbox 360 and PS3, is currently known as LMNO and will see us in the guise of an ex secret agent who boast special powers. It appears that you'll be able to influence the outcome of the game by deciding whether you want your character to follow a good or bad path through the story.

"The challenge is, can the game have an emotional impact on players while they are actively manipulating the world?" said Spielberg. MSNBC appear confident that Spielberg's next-gen debut will be a huge success. "Based on the clever ways in which he and EA are extracting a genuine performance from their digital Eve—complete with eyes that widen, lips that curl and translucent skin that lights up in different colors to express her quicksilver moods—we think Spielberg's got yet another hit on his hands."

Now that the new information has come to light we'd expect an offiical announcement on all three of Spielberg's titles shortly.

A main character…with special powers! Wow the new ideas just keep on coming! I thought better would come out of Spielberg to be honest.

A puzzle games with blocks - sounds thrilling! He might do something really unique with both of these games though, let's hope so.
Wasn't there a rumour a while back about a Band of Brothers game? Of course, I can see two problems with that already: 1) Yet another WW2 FPS?, and 2) Band of Brothers acronyms to BoB. Yeah, I used ‘acronym’ as a verb. :P
