The Playstation Home beta gets an update
Sony's Playstation Home Beta, the community-based service for the PS3, has received an update this week which includes ' the first true form of in-game XMB access. Anytime during and anywhere inside Home you can access your friends list (and therefore message people and read messages) by pressing select.
The update also adds further customisation options to the network's bowling and pool games allowing you to change character's clothes, hair and more, as well as graphically improving the look of in-game characters.
PSU.com claims that new streaming methods have been added for the public video sections and several new trailers have been added to the Home Cinema.
The Playstation Home beta runs up until August when it will head the second phase and accommodate 35,000 users until the service is launched in the lead up to the Christmas period.
The service allows PS3 users to interact, communicate, join online games, shop, share private content and even build and show off their own personal spaces to others in real time.
