Is 512MB too small for you?

Via CVG comes the news that Nintendo may be planning to unveil a new hard drive add-on for Wii at this year's E3, which takes place on July 13th.

The Wii currently has a 512MB drive, but extra space would open up more possibilities, including the possible development of larger capacity games and, of course, more room to download the growing list of Virtual Console titles.

Currently Wii owners are using SD memory cards as a viable alternative for storing data and with these cards becoming increasingly larger in capacity would there really be any need for a hard drive? Well, rumours suggest that the need for an external drive is due to the large file size of future Neo Geo Virtual Console games.

We'll be keeping a close eye on E3 this year...

not if you download loads of vc games and god knows how much more channels that are going to be released, and how much space there gonna take
I think that was a crack at Bill Gates. :D I'm fairly sure the Wii has more than 640k already. Maybe twice as much!
