UK store, HMV are dangling a mouldy carrot over the noses of those gamers looking to pre-order a PS3. The store will be receiving 5,000 units, but will be giving preference to those people who pre-order their Playstation bundle. HMV are offering a PS3 a PlayStation Portable and two PSP games: Killzone: Liberation and Gangs of London for the price of £674.99. Personally, we don't think that's such a good deal. The PS3 costs £425, you can pick up a PSP on the likes of Amazon or Ebay for around £130-£150 and the games for around £30 each. Therefore, it's not a bargain at all as you'll be paying around £40-50 over the odds.

HMV commented on the offer by saying: "The reason we went down this route, which has met with a mixed response, is in order to maximise the number of consoles to as many as we can get from Sony. Inevitably, there's a limited number, and we decided to do it this way to ensure we could meet as many of our preorders as possible."

We don't like being bribed to guarantee our PS3, so HMV can stick their offer where the sun don't shine!

Littlewood are also hoping to cash in on PS3 sales and are offering the 60GB unit with one game for £579, approximately £100 more that the suggested retail price.

I thought that Sony were only selling the 60gb version at first?
