The Christmas Number One has traditionally been an enthusiastically contested position, with many surprises over its 11-year history. ChartTrack data have announced the Christmas number one videogame across all formats, but this year there are no surprises. EA have secured the top spot for the fourth time in a row with FIFA 07 narrowly beating Need for Speed Carbon to the accolade.

Another christmas chart dominated by EA.

Only surprise I guess is that nfs isnt no.1 after holding the spot for the last 2 christmases.
Bleugh.

You have to wonder why anyone innovative goes into game design.
Because they have hopes that they can change things.

The problem is as games become more expensive to make and if a game fails then it could ruin the company.

My major gripe with EA is that they are the dominant force in games and as shown by that chart make the most profitable games.

Surely they could take risks with some crazier ideas and if they dont work out absorb the loss…

It's going the same way as the music industry.
