We do enjoy unlocking achievements on our Xbox 360 games and raising our gamerscore. The Microsoft points system does add competitiveness and enables you to brag to your friends, but we've often wondered how some of our friends have substantial points (we have one guy on a friend's list who has 50,000) whereas we seem to be stuck around the 3000 mark.

It's true that we're mainly reviewing games so we don't have time to complete every 360 game we receive, but even after completing Oblivion the other day we only gained 1,000 points, so how are these people gaining such high scores?

The answer could be the guys from Levelmy360.com who claim they can powerlevel your gamerscore for a fee. The website states:

Are you having trouble leveling your X360 Gamerscore? Let us help! We are powerleveling veterans, having served the online gaming market for the past 4 years. Due to popular demand we’re now offering this service for X360 owners who want to get their gamerscore up to elite levels!

For $39.99 they will raise your gamerscore by 500 points, but if you're looking for something more substantial they will up it by 3,000 points for the cool sum of $299.99. Those people who buy into this offer must really be lonely individuals who are desperate to impress their freinds with their high score.

To enable these professional levellers to increase your gamerscore you need to give them access to your Xbox live account by changing your Microsoft passport account and giving them your passport. Sounds dodgy to us and the whole service undermines the gamerscore point system.

We don't recommend you depart with your cash, but you can check out the website here

People will to anything to make a bit of cash I guess…. although if it were me I wouldnt allow people to access any part of the live account as my credit/debit card details are stored in there and MS wont let me remove card details.

Saying that though there are some games which are really easy to get 1000 points on - for example FIFA RTWC can be done in around 6 hours, so can FNR3, King Kong
i can see lee signing up for this :)
I will gladly increase Lee points if he wishes to pay me - :D
if sends me his xbox360 and games i will play all day for him :)
sounds highly suspicious to me, and to be honest, a bit sad that a person would feel the need to have to pay someone to increase their gamerscore.
