XL is set to become the biggest Xbox and Xbox 360 e-sports tournament for the United Kingdom in 2006. Taking place at the Birmingham National Exhibition Centre (NEC) Toute Suite on Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th of November, XL will feature competitive Halo 2 tournaments - Free For All, Double Team and Four vs. Four - and the first ever Pro Evolution Soccer 6 tournament in the United Kingdom. With cash and material prizes worth over £2000, XL aims to up the ante for competitive Xbox tournaments in the UK.

With several major sponsors in the works and the possibility of more to come, the event is to set the standard for competitive Xbox gaming in the UK for now and the future with many of the UK’s major competitive teams confirmed to attend. In addition with consoles stationed around the room for free play all attendees can get in on the action.

The event is being organised by Matchbox360’s events administration team Chris Barnes and Ryan Hughes.

The Official Xbox Magazine 360 will have exclusivity for magazine coverage for the XL events, Ben Talbot from OXM had this to say:
