Capcom today announced that its episodic sci-fi action shooter, Lost Planet: Extreme Condition, has again received top honours when it was recently awarded Best Xbox 360 Game at this year’s Leipzig Games Convention held on August 24-27. Voted upon by a panel of distinguished judges consisting of influential journalists from across Germany, Lost Planet surpassed the other nominations with the enormous interest generated by the debut of its multiplayer modes at the show.

Leipzig Games Convention was chosen by Capcom as the perfect venue to debut Lost Planet’s multiplayer mode and many gamers from across Germany eagerly waited to experience the intense and frenetic combat the game has to offer.

Hiroshi Tobisawa, President of Capcom Europe commented: “With more than 180,000 people in attendance, the Leipzig Games Convention provided a great opportunity for gamers to experience Lost Planet’s gripping single player campaign and multiplayer modes. We are extremely pleased to have won the Best Xbox 360 Game award as it is a testament to its unrivalled gameplay experience.”

I have to admit, I was very impressed with the demo of this that I played from the Live Marketplace.

I didn't ever download that. I thought it looked a bit like Star Wars republic Commando, have you played that? If so, is it anything like it?
I played so many Star Wars games back in the day on PC, I can't distinguish which ones are which anymore. :undecided

However I'd highly recommend the Lost Planet demo. I downloaded it around the same time I was playing Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter.
GRAW looks mighty fine but when I loaded up Lost Planet it truly looked stunning. Visually it's probably the best thing I've seen on the 360 yet.
Worth downloading for the sake of ooohing and aaahing alone.
just ignore the ai though as its pretty shocking in the demo, but then again its a very early release as its had a lot more development time since then.
