40 dollars for a 512 SD card?! 60 dollars for a 1G SD card?!
doubt it…

I thought that the Wii would accept open market storage? If that's the case then the prices are realistic as Ninty will make money off of people buying it cause it says “made for the Nintendo Wii”
i saw a poster in photo optix the other day for “buy one get one free” on SD cards, thought brilliant, how much is a 1g SD card? 69.99 i laughed and walked out the shop.

Definately. I reckon these prices are the retailer's guesstimate. They shouldn't second guess because there's quite a bit of moaning going on across some of the Nintendo sites because of these prices.
Its more likely the SD is a Nintendo Wii branded one, rather than the open market one. Hence the extra price because for some they will pay for the branded as they don't know any different
