Atari have confrimed that they will not be releasing any games for the PS3 in 2007. Speaking to Games Industry.biz, Atari CEO Bruno Bonell says that the main reason is because they still don't have enough information on Sony's console.

"It's just that we're lacking information about the PS3 at this stage...As far as the Wii and the Xbox 360 go, we'll be there for this season; for PS3, we'll probably have to wait a little later in the year before we release some new titles," said Bonell.

Bonnell still believes that the PS3 will be successful despite their lack of commitment and goes on to say, "I think that by deciding to put the PS3 at this price, Sony has chosen to really differentiate itself from the other consoles."

This follows news that SNK PLaymore, responsible for the Metal Slug series, may wait 3-4 years before they release a game on the PS3, instead they have decided to put their main focus on Wii.

Sony obviously haven't convinced Atari or SNK with their new PC and we'd expect more publishers to delay the development of games until they see the public's reaction to the PS3 in November.
