Warhammer 40K : Dawn of War : Dark Crusade

The second expansion pack in the Dawn of War franchise, Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War - Dark Crusade, is currently in development and THQ have released some brand new screenshots!

The game will feature two new playable races, the Tau Empire and the Necrons, bringing the number of totally unique races to an unprecedented seven. The game is expected to release in fall 2006.

In addition to the two new playable races, Dark Crusade will feature an all-new single player campaign centering on the conquest of a "meta-map," with each territory captured giving tangible rewards to the occupying force. A greatly expanded multiplayer component and a completely unique economy model for the Necrons will present gamers with the most compelling Dawn of War game to-date.

having played this game solid at my last LAN party (we were on one game for 6 hours before someone eventually won) im really looking foward to this. Its just bittersweet that they've taken the forward step and included the tau and neocron factions, but they've never included tyranids (arguably only spawned from Space Hulk, not true 40k)

:) Looking forward to this one, and would recommend anyone who hasn't tried DoW to give it a go.
Tau and Neocron are after my time so hold little interest for me. Id really like to see a new Space Hulk game though, the old one of the PS1 was fantastic.
A new space hulk game is well overdue…
Tyranids werent Space HUlk tho they were the pansied down version with bloody imperial guard type guys in them…
Tyranids were 1st in Space Hulk Advanced not the “kiddie” version that was released in conjunction with MB or somebody.
the one with the wee corridors and the ultramarines and the bulk heads where u put the cards down to see how many spawned, oh the memories!!
