We stumbled across one of Sony's latest adverts currently plastered on billboards across the Netherlands and apparently the U.S, quite frankly we were shocked.

At first I thought I was over-reacting, so I sent it to a number of people via email all of which came to the same conclusion, it's bang out of order. It clearly shows a strong, tall white female, looking down over a smaller, frightened black person in an aggressive manner. Yeah, us Brits like a bit of irony but isn't this pushing it too far?

The advert is to emphasis the fact that the white PSP is coming to the U.S, but is there any need for such racist conotations?

Perhaps it's just artistic, but it makes me feel awkward. Strangely I showed it to a black friend who wasn't offended in the slightest, in fact he found it amusing.

Make up your own minds.

Thanks to PSP updates who have even more photos.

i can see this advert causing trouble tbh - although as its a women holding a man i guess it wont be classed as racist, if it was the other way round all hell would break loose
That is pretty shocking I have to agree. Yeah, its advertising the new PSP white but I feel it is going a bit far in what it looks like it is saying.

Wonder if they will do a follow ad pushing the origional PSP with the roles reversed ? Really makes you wonder.

Mind you if you look on the site you gave the link for it has a few more shots that make it look a bit more reasonable. I think it may just be shots from a TV ad but a bad still image selection has been used for billboards.
I don't see anything wrong with it - it's only an advert after all.

It's two women - saucy.

If you click on the link at the bottom of that page, there are some more pics with them in different positions.
I think its meant to cause a fuss, more people talking about it that way.
