Revolution no more?
Over at the Game Developer's Conference rumours are spreading that Nintendo will be revealing the new name for the 'Revolution' tomorrow.
The 'Revolution' name has always been known as a codename for Nintendo's new console, but many people assumed that they would keep it. Nintendo of America's Vice President of Sales and Marketing Reggie Fils-Aimes once said that the Nintendo DS would have a new name and Nintendo later chooseto keep the portable handheld's original name.
So will this new name still be the 'Nintendo Revolution', or, as some people in the know are suggesting, will it be called 'Revolution X'? or will we see a totally new name?
The name of the new console will be confirmed by Nintendo President Satoru Iwata. We bet a few Revolution domain holders will be shaking in their boots at the thought of a change.
We're putting our money on Nintendo sticking to the original name.
