Christmas time for the PS3

After months of speculation surrounding the launch of Sony's Playstation 3, the rumours can finally be put to bed. The PS3 will not be launched this Spring, but will be introduced at the end of the year.

In an interview with Variety.com, Howard Stringer, Chairman of Sony, revealed "Sony will roll out the PS3 by year end, in time for the holidays. If PS3 "delivers what everyone thinks it will, the game is up," Stringer boasts.

The delay is said to be due to the fine-tuning of the consoles Blu-Ray function.

Finally we can move from the edge of our seats, sit back and wait for the European launch. It's a long way off, but Stringer seems to think it will be worth the wait.

Tempted but no :)
happy with my puter for now :D
I wonder if it will look ass still
Given the delay, I wonder if Sony will use the opportunity to skip nVidia's G71 GPU and go with the next gen core like the G80, earmarked for Q3 2006?
