F.E.A.R sequel confirmed
Developers, Monolith, behind the Xbox 360 launch game Condemned, and makers of F.E.A.R (First Encounter Assault and Recon) have revealed that sequels to the First person shooter are currently underway for PC, Playstation 3, and Xbox 360.
Monlith will not be working alongside publisher Vivendi Universal on this latest project, Warner will be their new partner. As Vivendi own the F.E.A.R brand, the name of the franchise may change. However, this should not result in a change in progressive storyline or characters, as Monlith own the I.P
FEAR has won many awards including Winner of the Best Action Game of E3 2005, and although Monlith have not made an announcement regarding the game appearing on the next-gen consoles, it's been common knowledge in the industry for some time. An eagle eyed member of staff at Yahoo Video Games noticed the following job advertisement on Monolith's website, “new game-play systems for a high-profile AAA 1st-person action game on the Xbox 360 and PS3.”
