PS3 no show

The Taipei game show in Taiwan was an excellent chance for Sony to showcase some of the upcoming PS3 games, show demos and trailers, or even reveal a working PS3. Despite fervent rumour of the PS3's presence, fans went home disappointed.

Sony had 500ft of floor space dedicated to the PSP and PS2, with only a small space for the PS3. Cameras were not allowed to take photos in the PS3 area; perhaps they wanted to hide their embarassment at the fact that there were no PS3 games on show. Apparently a Sony spokesperson told the crowd that the PS3 was unlikely to even be available in Taiwan, due to piracy issues.

Be sure to check out this report from the event.
