Football management online!

The successfull PC football management game, Football Manager 2006 was announced last summer. Since that date we've been uncertain whether the game would feature online play.

We can now reveal, thanks to 'The Official Xbox Magazine', that in FM 2006 you'll be able to battle it out against 15 other wanna-be football managers, over Xbox live.

Sports Interactive’s managing director Miles Jacobsen also brings news of online tournaments, which will re-define the way football management sims are played, “We’re looking forward to hosting our own tournaments,” Jacobsen told OXM. “We can’t wait to virtually meet some of the people who are playing our game!”

Xbox live chat will be fully supported, making the world of Football management sims a more exciting, interactive experience. Due to the processing power of the game you will need a hard drive to play, but this seems a small price to pay for the exciting propostion of playing online.

The LMA manager series has long been the best football management game on console, Football Manager 2006 looks to be taking the genre to a totally new level.
