Certain game demos on the Xbox Live Marketplace will only appear in certain countries. No doubt Japan will have demos of some crazy games that we would like to get our hands on, but never will do, or will we?

Gamers Reports has revealed a way of exploiting the Xbox 360 system to gain access to these games and others that are exclusively for that country.

This is what you need to do:

Step One: Create a Microsoft Passport
Step Two: Choose a different home country, a country with the demo that you want to play
Step Three: Choose a valid postcode/zip code for the country, these can be found by surfing the net
Step Four: Choose a valid Phone number from that country
Step Five: Create a new profile on your Xbox 360
Step Six: Create a new Silver Account on your Xbox 360 (this is free)
Step Seven: Enter the contact details from your Microsoft Passport.

You can switch between your two accounts so that you only use this Silver account to play demos when needed. You can also set up your Microsoft passport on the Xbox rather than on your PC if you wish.

This is for information purposes only and in no way do Hexus condone falsifying information. We have not attempted this method so cannot confirm if it works.

Nice bit of info, saw it on Engadget this morning too.

Will try it when I get home… I want to watch the Xmen 3 trailer.
I'm not going to try it honestly, later on this afternoon.

I'd like to see what the Japanese have got!
