Memory manufacturer Corsair, always one to support the gamers, is holding a 64 team Battlefield 2 tournament at the end of this month.

Teams of 4 from some 14 countries will battle it out over two days for a chance at being in the top three. Prizes amount to over $5000 in value, which are of course all Corsair products. The Corsair Battlefield 2 Infantry Cup will also have prizes for the four most sporting players in the tournament - good show old chap!

Richard Hashim, Director of Product Marketing at Corsair, was pleased the company was supporting such an event:

Corsair has always been on the forefront of supporting the gaming community. The idea of hosting the first Corsair BF2 Infantry Cup was encouraged by the numerous gamers we interact with regularly. The online tournament is a great way to publicly demonstrate our support for the e-sport and those gamers who demonstrate excellence in play. Hosting the Corsair titled tournament complements our ongoing grass root marketing efforts. It gives us an opportunity to reach out to an extensive global gaming audience who demand the best memory technologies that can aide in their game play. We would like to thank Team Dignitas for organizing the event logistics to have a successful first event.

During the tournament we'll all be able to tune in to TGBF radio to find out how the teams are progressing. Team Dignitas has more details on the tournament and the registered teams.
