Midway interested in SCI?
The rumour mills are warming up again as word reaches us that Midway, the US publisher might be looking to buy SCI.
SCI, who famously won a bidding battle to take over Eidos keeping another UK publisher firmly in the UK, said that earlier this year they received interest from several large publishers but it looks like Midway are getting ready to make a move.
Midway most likely find SCI’s IP (Intellectual Property) very attractive, with the strong Eidos line-up now in the company. This news come only a few days after reports of Midway closing down developers Ratbag, who it bought for USD$7 million only a few months ago.
It is understood that Midway boss Sumner Redstone is keen to expand despite the company’s trouble achieving its targets this financial year.
