Phantom CEO spirited away…
Ok, so he wasn’t spirited away but it made a good headline.
Kevin Bachus, CEO of Infinium, the guys behind the Phantom games console, has quit the company.
After being on the team that gave us the original Xbox, Bachus joined Infinium to help bring the Phantom to our homes sometime in 2006. The move will raise questions over the viability of the Phantom given it’s delay from 2004 and the competition it now faces with the Xbox 360, PS and Revolution all coming out by 2006.
Infinium’s Head of European Operations, Greg Koler, is taking over as stand-in CEO for the time being.
