Xbox 360 pre-launch UK tour

If you're serious about gaming, there's only one place to be in November. The Xbox 360 Hour Tour will be the public's first chance to play Xbox 360, the first next generation games console, before it is available in the UK on the 2nd December.

British gamers will get their hands on hotly anticipated Xbox 360 titles including Perfect Dark Zero - the stunning prequel to the international award-winning first-person shooter "Perfect Dark and "Kameo: Elements of Power," a mystical action-adventure game also available exclusively on Xbox 360 from world renowned developer Rare and Microsoft Game Studios. Zooming into town will also be the latest in the Project Gotham Racing series plus countless other new titles never played before.

The 360 Hour Tour kicks off at The Lighthouse in Glasgow before making it's way southwards to Birmingham's Custard Factory, stopping off at The Light in Leeds and culminating in London's Mercer Street Studios on 24th November to the 27th November – a week before launch.

These venues will be home to 60 of the coveted consoles and will also host a special VIP preview evening for a few lucky gamers. The events are open to the general public from10am – 6pm. Gamers will be registered on arrival for 30 minutes of gaming at an allocated time in the day

"This is a great opportunity for people around the country to put the Xbox 360 through it's paces and judge first hand whether it lives up to their expectations" said Stephen McGill, head of marketing for Xbox. "We're confident gamers will be impressed with the innovation in graphics, animation and gameplay but the Xbox 360 also has loads to offer non gamers so we'll be showing the music and entertainment capabilities too. We're delighted to kick off the tour in Scotland and give Glaswegians the first taste of the next generation of gaming."
