We all know that DICE's blend of infantry and vehicle-based, team-orientated gameplay is set to be one of the stars of the show when Battlefield 3 launches on October 28th, but what about the graphics?

DICE has gone all-out with this latest iteration to deliver a real evolution of the Frostbite engine, with destructible environments, explosions that have real impact and enhanced physics that take the visual impact of war to a whole new level.

From the GeForce LAN 6 event in San Francisco this week, we have a host of videos taken from a ‘behind-the-scenes’ keynote with Johan Andersson, DICE’s visual architect. Grab yourself a coffee, sit back, and enjoy this five-part video showcase.

Battlefield 3 launches on PC, Xbox 360 and PS3 on October 28, 2011 in Europe. North American readers can get their hands on a copy today.

Is NVIDIA a big sponsor? Will it bench “better” on those GPUs as opposed to AMDs? Like HAWX 2 did with it's super tesselation.

Wait a week and find out :p
Battlefield 3 is also sponsored by AMD/ATI so it shouldn't be too different on both types of card.
