Sick of dust gathering on your glossy 250 GB Xbox 360? Well, Microsoft today brings news that it will shortly release the 250 GB console with a matte finish. It will also come bundled with Kinect, though it doesn't say whether the motion-sensing peripheral will also sport a matte finish.

In other Xbox 360 news, it's quite interesting to hear developers talking about the next iteration ot the Xbox hardware. Speaking with PSM3 magazine, the director of Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, Todd Howard, says he doesn't expect to see a new console from Microsoft until 2014.

"I think it's going to be a while still, I really do. I think consumers are happy with the current ones, there's a lot you can do with them," he said. Then again, others are predicting that the new Xbox 360, dubbed the Xbox 720, will make an appearance at E3 next year.

There's still a lot of great games to look forward to, and developers are still getting to grips with Kinect's technology and pushing the hardware to its limits. Personally, we think Todd Howard is spot-on, 2014 seems like a wise estimate.

Anyhow, here's the picture of the new matte Xbox 360...we guess it looks more "matte" in real life. Microsoft has yet to confirm a release date or price for the new bundle.

looks less cheap, should have come like that to start with.
About **** ***** time!
Probably waiting for the Forza 4 bundle, but they're getting there.
I knew I should have opted for the 4gb then bought the 250gb drive separately, ended up wrapping mine in a carbon fibre skin to keep the dust at bay.

That's great! :)

Seriously what is it with manufacturers releasing fingerprint magnets to start with? Seriously though I know a few people who will buy this to add to their growing collection of consoles just for the heck of it…
