Game on time

Nintendo has revealed the line-up of games to launch alongside its 3DS handheld console.

The 3D console is set to make its European debut on 25 March with 13 full 3D games available, which Nintendo claims "offer something for everyone".

Nintendo is pushing Pilotwings Resort, which promises to let 3DS users use a Mii character to explore Whuhu Island by plane, hand glider and rocket belt with 40 flight missions and extras in free flight mode.

And perhaps unsurprisingly Nintendogs is back yet again. The game makes use of the console's camera and facial recognition technology so 3DS users can find new ways to interact with their virtual dogs and cats, which can even apparently lick them.

Nintendo said gamers can take pictures of their pets and share them as well as use an augmented reality feature which lets players ‘watch your puppy play on your own dining room table!'

Nintendo has partnered with Capcom, Electronic Arts, Ubisoft, Konami Digital Entertainment, LucasArts, Namco Bandai, SEGA and Tecmo Koei, which all have 3DS titles out at launch.

Here's the full day one launch line up:

Ive got mine pre-ordered with Pilotwings, easily the best of the launch titles :)

It's a bit cheeky of them to claim “13 titles” when 3 are the same game (the nintendogs) though!

Looking forward to Zelda + Starfox, now if only they would announce a date for them so I can find somewhere to pre-order those too :)
I'm so excited about Pilotwings. The N64 game was excellent.
