Steam Client for Mac gets release date.

Starting next month, Mac users can wave goodbye to Bootcamp in order for them to access Steam. Valve has announced the official release date for the Mac version of Steam.

Back in early March, Valve revealed that it was developing a Mac version of its Steam client, and also revealed accompanying native Mac support for all Valve developed games. All future titles will also launch with Mac support.

Don’t worry though, Mac Users, any games you’ve purchased on the PC will also work on your Mac, so you won’t need to purchase two copies of the same game.

Steam for Mac will become available on the 12th of May.

That's fine for valve games, but aren't a lot of the cool games on steam flash based? We know how much Jobs likes flash… ;)
Can't help but feel the only games on this will be valve games plus maybe a few indes…
Only the games that already have a mac version will be able to run on macs. The steam client itself may run on the mac, but the windows binaries of the games it offers don't.
This is good news. The better a platform for gaming Macs become, the harder the competition has to work to keep up/stay ahead.
Maybe giving mac people the ability to game with relatively modern games will push Apple to try and get better GPUs into their systems… probably not though.

If anything i would say its bad as it might spread the steam team thinner.
