Electronic Arts continues its Project Ten Dollar experiment, which aims to cut down the value of second hand sales of its games by offering launch day DLC to anyone who buys a new copy of Battlefield: Bad Company 2. In an interview with WorthPlaying, senior producer Patrich Bach from DICE said: "We have an in-game store where you get free content or you can buy new content to the game, so it's a very integral part of the game that we will have a long post-launch campaign."

"I think people will be thrilled to see what's in that already. On day one, you will get some really cool stuff."

The Project Ten Dollar experiment has been working well so far. EA launched Mass Effect 2 recently with The Cerberus Network, an online hub that offers a wealth of downloadable content. If you do buy Mass Effect 2 second-hand and The Cerberus Network has already been activated, you'll be charged for the privilege of accessing the content.

We await with anticipation to see what this "cool" stuff for Bad Company will be, the game launches on PC, Xbox 360 and PS3 on 5th March.
