US Marines against the Chinese PLA in a battle for oil

Version played: Xbox 360

What is Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising?
As the sequel to the PC’s internationally acclaimed tactical action shooter, Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising has a lot of expectation riding on its shoulders, but Codemasters has been confident in its claims that it has “created warfare on a scale never seen before in a FPS.”

The events in Dragon Rising focus on the U.S Marine force, who team up with Russia against the Chinese in a battle for oil and territory. As the fire team leader, you engage in 11 objective-fuelled missions, including assaulting enemy positions, securing a beach head and rescuing POW’s. Dragon Rising combines first person shooter gameplay with squad-based commands as you control the behaviour, formations and movements of three of your team members in order to try and outwit the opposition.

You'll get to fire a wide variety of weapon-types, jump in the driving seat of tank of infantry fighting vehicle and pilot a helicopter. 135 square miles of gameplay space gives you the luxury of tackling missions in a variety of tactical ways as you cross valleys, infiltrate villages and bomb towns. Like its predecessor, Dragon Rising prides itself on creating a realistic experience that aims to capture that raw emotion of war.

Offline and online co-op modes allows four players to join forces in the single player campaign and online multiplayer modes, including Annihilation and Infiltration.
