Microsoft has today cut the price of a Xbox Live Gold 12 month subscription by Ā£5, bringing the cost down to GBP 34.99.

The promotion is for a limited time only, though Microsoft has yet to confirm how long the offer will stay open for. The promotion is mainly aimed at Silver members, who Microsoft hope to tempt with the full benefits of being a Gold subscriber, which includes full access to online gaming.

Subscriptions can be bought from Xbox.com or most videogame shops, or some online outlets, including Amazon, who are currently offering 12 month membership for slightly cheaper than Microsoft, at GBP 33.42
