If you still haven't heard enough hype surrounding the New Xbox Live Experience, then fear not, as Microsoft has today launched a new section on its official Xbox website, giving us a glimpse of what we can expect on its full release shortly.

The online video demonstration, hosted by Xbox Live GM Marc Whitten and Xbox Live corporate vice president John Schappert, shows off the new user interface, friends features, how Avatars work and all about Netflix, the movie service that will only be available in North America.

“We’re entering a new age in entertainment, and Xbox 360 is uniquely positioned to become the heart of the living room,” said Don Mattrick, senior vice president for the Interactive Entertainment Business at Microsoft.

“The new Xbox experience offers more content than you can find from any device that connects to the television. That convergence of entertainment and gaming will bring new people and more families to the category, driving a record year for the games industry.”

Check out the NXE section of Xbox.com and find out whether all the fuss is warranted.

The New Xbox Experience is rumoured to launch in November.

If you want a laugh, watch the beginning of the ‘Friends’ video starring Tom Langan (lead developer) for, what is quite possibly, the most fake smile EVER to be caught on camera !!! I suspect the reason he's so happy is because his 360 has just successfully booted - and not RROD'ed ;)
w00tage!
This is starting to look pretty good, I'm even warming on to the avatar idea! And the party feature looks like the best new bit, even though they should of had something like that before. i.e voice chat with more than one person.
