The delayed Playstation Home service for Playstation 3, which will allow users to interact, communicate, join online games, shop, share private content and even build and show off their own personal spaces to others in real time, may be ready for launch in October.

Via PS3 Fanboy, a user, who is currently on the closed beta version of Home, has taken a snapshot of the beta discussion forum, which shows a post from the Home manager, detailing a response to a bug found in version 0.98 of Home which currently freezes the console.

Going by the name of "TedtheDog", the Home Manager confirms that the bug will be fixed in the next system software update, Version 2.5, at the end of October.

It's believed that Version 2.5 will be released in conjunction with the release of Home 1.00.

This week Sony has been sending out more invites to North American users for its closed beta phase, further suggesting that the launch of Home is imminent

Sony has yet to confirm the launch date of its community-based service.
