Yes it's ace, never set out to get it, but most new TV's and monitors are HDTV capable now, so when I replaced mine I ended up with one. Looks far better than the old tube.
Wow! A poll that I don't even understand.

I have a HDTV, hooked up to SkyHD, that I don't use for gaming (26“ 1366*768 for ref). It's fab.
I have what might be construed as a HD monitor (22” 1680*1050), which I use for gaming on PC and xbox360. That's fab too, but it has no tuner so certainly isn't a HDTV.
I used to game on a Iiyama CRT monitor (19" at 1600*1200), using VGA. So that definately doesn't count as HD or TV, even though it had the highest pixel count of the lot…

What is not HDTV gaming? Anything hooked up a SD CRT television? Or that and all PCs hooked up to a monitor with no tuner?

The source of all internet confusion suggests that 1024*768 is HD, so it's a pretty lowly PC that doesn't meet that spec: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/High-definition_television
I game on a 22“ HDTV/Monitor, got it last year as a birthday present because i bought myself a 360 and wanted to play on something bigger/better than a 14” portable, this screen kicks ass but i sold my 360 because it sucks and now i have a nice gaming pc :), graphically it looks very nice on the new games and no ghosting etc, doesnt hurt my eyes either because for some reason when i made the switch i cant stand crt now :P(hard to read text etc). It is better to game on a HD screen but in reality pretty much everyone has a hd screen because pc monitors have been at that res and higher for many many years.
I have my 360 plugged into the new 32" toshiba, looks amazing.:)
For those that don't game on a decent HD TV/Monitor I strongly suggest and upgrade, not only does it breath a new life into games, it also gives you and edge in those online matches of COD4 you love so much.;)
Got to agree on that, shooting at a distance on Bad Company is far easier on a HDTV :D
