A forum poster by the name of Foo Foo over at Acidmods.com has conjured up a new style Xbox 360 controller to help improve his game when playing first person shooters.

Foo Foo says:

You may remember Microsoft saying they were going to redesign the 360 controller to make it more usable for first person shooters. Well to my knowledge this never came to market. So I decided to build my own version of what I think it would have been like.

The action buttons are now on the underside of the controller, meaning that he never has take his thumb of the thumbstick to shoot.

How did he make the make the case?

What I did was cut out the stick housing and tidy it up a bit, then cut away the whole button area. The stick part fitted quite snug into the space left by the buttons. Then I glued some plastic to the inside of the case covering the wholes and used air drying filler over the whole thing. Sand down and paint. An bobs your mothers brother.

Easy eh?
