With E3 looming, there are plenty of rumours flying around as to what major announcements Microsoft, Sony and Nintendo have up their sleeves for their keynote speeches on July 15th.

Amongst those Internet whispers is speculation that Microsoft will announce two new Xbox 360 SKUs; an Xbox 360 60GB Premium and a 20GB arcade console. It’s also now believed that the new Xbox 360 packages will pave the way for a price reduction for its Xbox 360 Premium (20GB).

Indeed, in the US a scan of an upcoming K-Mart circular appears to confirm the rumour, showing the Premium console at its new price of $299, $50.less than its current RRP.

Meanwhile Sony is rumoured to be making a number of key announcements, including a motion-sensing controller, full details of its upcoming movie download service and new details of its PS3 trophy system.

Nintendo’s keynote speech will apparently focus on a range of upcoming first party games. The Japanese manufacturer has already stated that there will be several new titles announced that will be aimed specifically at the hardcore gamer. It’s also believed that it will announce an online version of the successful life simulation videogame, Animal Crossing.

HEXUS.gaming will have comprehensive coverage of E3 when it kicks off at the Los Angeles Convention Center on July 15th.
