I did think about upgrading to an Xbox 360 Elite from my standard 20GB Xbox 360, but I couldn't bear to part with the 30 or so arcade games that I'd purchased.

There's some good news though for me and anyone else thinking of upgrading. Microsoft has now made it possible to transfer content across from one Xbox 360 to another! Elite here we come!

The license transfer tool allows you to transfer the licenses of all your previously downloaded content from your old console to the new one through a two-part process, which has to be carried out via the Xbox website.

We have the link to the US site here, but the UK site has yet to be updated. We are assured that the new license transfer tool applies to all regions.

The new feature arrives with E3 jsut around the corner and the rumour that Microsoft will be announcing two new SKUs, the Xbox 360 60GB Premium and the 20GB arcade console.
