It will come as no surprise to fans of Microsoft's flagship racing title that Forza Motorsport 3 is currently in development. Although Microsoft has yet to announce the title officially, a marketing leak - from the same source as the news that Mii-style avatars are on the way - comes apparent validation that the popular series' third outing is on its way.

The leaked report also claims that Forza 3 will be sold as a 2 disc set ' due to the number of cars and tracks' included. Indeed, the source claims that Forza 3 will boast 400 cars (approximately 100 more than Forza 2) and 100 tracks!

Wait a second. 100 tracks! But Forza 2 only had 14 tracks available at launch, admittedly with 47 different configurations, but 100 tracks? Is someone pulling our plonker?

Here's the leaked information, thanks to NeoGaf.

Make up your own minds, we don't believe it until we've heard it straight from the horse's mouth.

Hmmm...suppose it could just be double the amount of tracks from Forza 2 with multiple configurations? What do you think?

where does it say this side of christmas? the car amounts and track amounts (remembering as you rightly did that they count variations as separates) sound about right - but before christmas? cant see it happening but that would be amazing
47 variations, does that include forwards and backwards?

If not, there is your 100.

there will be more tracks, its just impossible to say how many but expect to see a bunch of the old ones missed from forza 2 back - blue mountain, fujimi kaido, alpine ring were all requested as dlc constantly till turn10 confirmed there wouldn't be any more

I will be getting this, interested to see how the drift will work out though, point to point races will be nice aswell, just aslong as they dont include turbo buttons like in the NFS games :)
