As we get ever closer to the release of Will Wright's evolution simulation, the offical PC specifications have been revealed.

It looks like most of us should be able to get some SPORE action, when the game is released in September.

For Windows XP
2.0 GHz P4 processor or equivalent
512 MB RAM
A 128 MB Video Card, with support for Pixel Shader 2.0
At least 6 GB of hard drive space

For Windows Vista
2.0 GHz P4 processor or equivalent
768 MB RAM
A 128 MB Video Card, with support for Pixel Shader 2.0
At least 6 GB of hard drive space

For computers using built-in graphics chipsets, the game requires at least: Intel Integrated Chipset, 945GM or above.
2.6 GHz Pentium D CPU, or 1.8 GHz Core 2 Duo, or equivalent.

Specs look really good for XP and Vista users alike.

Looks like they are aiming for everyone to be able to play this game. It looks like they have actually done a bit of research to find out what an average user has as a home PC.
Yeah, this one is going to appeal to near casual gamers as well, looks like another 100+million title.
Spec looks ok, i would imagine 90% of the worlds population will be able to deal with that. looking forward to giving this title a whirl.

Really good that everyone will be able to play what could well be one of the most original ideas in a long time for a game! My computer should just about be able to run it!!
I bet the game would look like crap, playing with those specs. From the videos on gametrailers, it looks to need a beefy PC.
