No sooner do we bring you the news that Grand Theft Auto IV was possibly set to have an Xbox 360 exclusive online mode , Rockstar waste no time in stepping forward to quash the rumour.In a podcast held between Microsoft’s Entertainment boss Don Mattrick and Xbox live’s Major Nelson he said that "[GTA IV] is an amazing piece of software and I'm really excited with its downloadable content and online multiplayer support. Again, that's something that's unique to 360."
"We think consumers are going to love that and it's going to create, what I would describe again as the premium experience on our platform."
A Rockstar rep has now confirmed to Spong that he was actually referring to the downloadable content and not the actual online component.
Chill out PS3 fanboys, disaster averted.
