Results from the Entertainment and Devices division

Microsoft Corp. has today posted second quarter records for their Entertainment and Devices Division and has reported that sales of the Xbox 360 have reached 17.7 million units, representing a 70% increase from last year.

The company has announced a 357 million operating profit from revenue of approximately $3 billion. Last year it was a different story with losses of $302 million reported, but thanks to reduced Xbox 360 hardware costs and some huge titles, including the multi-million selling Halo 3, Microsoft are on track to be profitable in fiscal 2008.

I even got myself one at the end of last year! (and my girlfrind has a Wii)

no room for a PS3 in our house now.
Looks like I might be getting another one soon.

Is it because my first one is faulty? Is it due to it developing a fault?

No not at all… it's because my housemate likes FIFA and a few other choice games that much it's hard to get on the console at certain times of the night/weekend.
i bought one last week and im loving mine, long live the 360!
ive had mine since last oct, i love it. and the secound hand / cheap games market ahs really opened up now, so u can get some gems for a deecent price. Ive got a ps3 as well, but unless a games ps3 exclusive ( like uncharted - wow. and i cant wait for mgs 4 ) i tend to buy for my x360 instead! its a great console and m$ deserve there sucess with it!
Mine only works one way. Stand it on its end it works, put it flat red rings. So really I should send it in for repair, but its been moths now and not a flicker if I stand it on end.

So stand your 360s on end people, you are probably less likely to have it die. Maybe.
