Sega MK III and GameGear games coming too!

Japanese site +Dgames are claiming that SEGA has announced that the Master System will be added to Wii Virtual Console in February.

Considering we haven't seen anything in writing from Nintendo it seems a bit dubious that the site are claiming that Master System games are set to be released in North America and Europe shortly after its Japanese release, but we'd certainly welcome the addition with open arms.

If this does happen let's not forget there were some horrible games on the Master System, thanks to the lack of third party support, but it also had some gems including the likes of Phantasy Star, Golden Axe Warrior, numerous arcade ports, such as Outrun and After Burner and my personal favourite, the Metroid-esque, Zillion.

In addition to the Master System's appearance on Wii, +Dgames also claim that Sega MK III and GameGear games are also set to be launched, with Fist of the North Star and Fantasy Zone being the first games to be released from its portfolio.
