Microsoft to continue investment

In a live text in interview with Eurogamers' readers, Bungie has said that they currently have no plans to work on any platform other than Xbox 360.

"Microsoft have been good friends to us," said Bungie's production director, Jonty Barnes. "You can see the strength of our relationship in Halo. We're really focused on continuing our collaboration in making the best games we can, and that right now is on 360."

The comments follow Bungie's recent split from Microsoft in October, which sees the Halo creators looking to 'expand both creatively and organizationally' in their mission to create world-class games. Microsoft still hold an equity interest in Bungie and has said they'll continue their investment in the Halo brand.

The critically acclaimed Xbox 360-exclusive “Halo 3” shot into the record books by achieving $300 million in global sales in its first week.

phew :)
Totally Agree they can keep that slime!!
Personally I think it is a positive thing - think how many games have been ruined by being limited for multi-platform release…
gtech, have you ever heard of the adage ‘If you can’t think of anything to say, say nothing'?

Try it out. Seriously.
there's got to be some financial incentives for this - the cost of development these days is so high, you simply can't afford to be single-platform unless you want an attach rate of 1:1 for hardware owners (see comments on MGS4 for example)
