The highly anticipated 2.00 firmware release for the Playstation 3 will be with us tomorrow, November 8th. Unfortunately, many PS3 users were hoping that this would be the update that finally provides access to the Xross Media Bar whilst in game and yet, that much sought after feature doesn't seem to have made the cut.

What this new update will provide however is the ability to remote power on the Playstation 3 with a Playstation Portable. The ability to create music and photo playlists, customise the XMB menu screen and a few other minor upgrades. Though not entirely the features we were hoping for, it's nice to get an update nonetheless.
