Floor it, jump it, roll it, crash it

The basic premise of Stuntman Ignition is fairly simple. You play the role of an upcoming stunt driver throwing a variety of vehicles around a film set to create spectacular action sequences. With jumps, chases, crashes, fires, flips and slides in pretty much every sequence, the action promises to be spectacular.

The original Stuntman was curious in that it was a bit like Marmite, you either loved it or hated it. Striking an odd middle ground between Demolition Derby and any generic racer you’d care to name, the unforgiving nature of the game turned many off whilst others found it nicely challenging. I strongly suspect that this’ll be the case here with some players loving the action sequences whilst others will find the strict success rules a pain in the backside.

You play the role of an unnamed stunt driver just starting out in the business. You’ll be mentored and guided through the game by an experienced ex-stunt driver now stunt co-ordinator. He’ll guide you through some of the trickier manoeuvres you’ll have to pull off before talking you through each stunt on the set. In each sequence you have to satisfy the director for him to pass the scenes and you to progress… and believe me, this can be very, very tough.
